Yusuke Nakamae
Yusuke Nakamae is a Japanese visual artist and film director whose work explores themes of memory, identity, and the relationship between humanity and technology.
Drawing inspiration from science fiction, Japanese culture, and digital aesthetics, he creates cinematic visual worlds that blur the boundaries between still images and moving pictures. His works often depict futuristic cities, mythological figures, and symbolic architectures that reflect both tradition and speculative futures.
He is known for his “NeoJapanesque” series, which reinterprets Japanese cultural identity through futuristic digital landscapes.
His short film ECHOES has received multiple awards at international film festivals, including Best Original Idea at the Top Indie Film Awards and Best VFX at the Cinematic European Film Festival. His artworks have been exhibited internationally in Tokyo, Paris, and Switzerland.
